Daffodil

  Our featured flower this week is the Daffodil. Sunny, yellow daffodils generally bloom in late winter or early spring. Their attractive flowers usually bear showy yellow or white flowers with six petals and a trumpet-shape central corona. Symbolizing rebirth and new beginnings, the daffodil is virtually synonymous with spring. What to look for: *Fully open flowers as these flowers will have a longer vase life What to do: * Re-cut stems, removing at least 2cm * Daffodils exude a sap when the stems are cut that is harmful to other cut flowers. After re-cutting , put daffodils alone in a container for at least 24 hours before arranging them with other flowers. Do not re-cut again. * Keep away from draughts and direct sunlight
