It’s the flower doctor here with a little secret on how to extend the life of your cut flowers and keep them looking fresh.
When preparing your flowers to place them in a vase, remove any greenery from the bottom of the stems that will be submerged in the water — you’ll be amazed at how this simple trick helps to keep the water much clearer.
Always use a sparkling clean vase that has been washed in hot, soapy water and rinsed well. This will help remove any microorganisms which equal slimy water and wilting flowers.
Be sure to trim the stems every couple of days and change the water too.
