Hello, Flower Doctor here, The most well-known species is Telopea speciosissima, which has bright red flowers and is the NSW state emblem. The waratah is a member of the plant family Proteaceae, a family of flowering plants distributed in the Southern Hemisphere. Care Instructions: -Re-cut 2cm off the stems with sharp secateurs, and strip any leaves that would be below the water line and place in a vase which has cut flower preservative in the water. -You may need to change the water in the vase if it turns murky, follow the above instructions when changing vase water. -Keep out of draughts and direct sunlight.
