Hello, Flower Doctor Here! A question I hear quite often is: Is it ok if I send/take flowers to a hospital?? The answer to this question is YES. Patients enjoy receiving a nice bunch or an arrangement of flowers which can cheer them up during sometimes difficult times or helps to celebrate the birth of a new born. It also gives the hospital ward a less harsh appearance. Research has also shown that patients, when in a green environment, recover quicker. So flowers and hospitals belong together. The only time flowers are not suitable in hospitals are in the Burn Wards or Intensive Care Wards. Also plants are not a good idea for hospitals as the soil is not wanted in the sterile hospital due to the health of their patients.
