Mercy Orphanage.

Mercy Orphanage, in Senapati, Manipur, India was opened by retired East Gosford school teacher Glenda Ikundi in 2008, with 5 children. Today the Orphanage has grown to 20 children who are aged between 5 and 14 years. These children have lost the support of their parents due to poverty and drug addiction.
The Orphanage is managed by a local husband and wife team, Khole and Danai Taoh who receive frequent visits from Glenda. Colleen McLean is also a lifelong contributor to the Orphanage and keeps everyone up to date with newsletters. 100% of donations go directly to the�Orphanage's�needs, there are no administrative costs.
In April 2013 the new girls' dormitory was opened, and now they are currently raising money for a boys' dormitory. There are also ongoing cost of $AUD27 per child per month. Mercy Orphanage operates a farm which partially provides for the children's food requirements. The Orphanage also funds village children's education and local business opportunities.
We were eager to make sure that we support this cause for the children of Manipur, India and help them achieve the goal of a boys' dormitory for the Mercy Orphanage.
